HOJ Group ProjectsHOJ is dedicated to engaging people in fun and meaningful volunteer experiences. We want to work with each and every interested individual and group who desire to make our community a more vibrant place. Is your group is interested in volunteering? 1. Check our project calendar first - you may find just what you are looking for! 2. Didn't find what you were looking for? There are a number of projects we regularly set up for groups, and can coordinate FREE of charge. These projects include: - Work day at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. These projects vary and volunteers enjoy free time at the zoo after projects are complete.
- Enviornmental Clean-Ups. For enjoyable volunteer experiences, we use coastal sites including the beaches, Hanna Park, preservation areas and Joe Carlucci Boat Ramp. We provide gloves and bags - you do the rest!
- Warehouse projects such as food banks, thrift stores and donation centers.
- The Teacher Supply Depot is a program housed in an old school building. They accept large quanities of office and school supply donations. Volunteers assist with sorting, loading and unloading supplies to be prepared for teachers to use in classrooms.
3. We can provide more complex projects and project management support, however there may be an associated fee or request for a supply budget. To request a HandsOn Jacksonville Group project, please submit a request form. While we will try our absolute best to accomodate your project, please understand our staff is limited and we cannot guarantee a project for your group. We can guarantee that you will be contacted and guided in the right direction.
